Eric Swalwell, D-CA who said that the litmus test for the next Democrat 2028 presidential nominee must vow to demolish President Donald Trump's White House ballroom. Wow, seriously, you are complaining about how the renovation looks of the East Wing and now you state you want to destroy it which would likely make it look worse. This as Michael LaRosa, an aide to former first lady Jill Biden, told The Hill where he called the demolition of the White House’s East Wing “sad” but said it was “probably needed.”
Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-CA, said the next Democratic presidential nominee must vow to demolish President Donald Trump's White House ballroom, proposing the pledge a litmus test for the party’s 2028 contenders.
"Don’t even think of seeking the Democratic nomination for president unless you pledge to take a wrecking ball to the Trump Ballroom on DAY ONE," Swalwell wrote on X on Saturday.
