Former Vice President Kamala Harris mutually agreed to delete her Subway Takes, according to host Kareem Rahma, who described it as "confusing and weird."
“Her take was really confusing and weird, not good, and so [we] mutually agreed we shouldn’t publish it,” Rahma told Forbes reporter Steven Bertoni on Monday (July 7).
Bertoni said he "got lucky" because he "didn't want to be blamed for her losing" the 2024 election to President Donald Trump.
“Her take was that bad?” Bertoni asked.
“It was really, really bad,” Rahma responded. “It didn’t make any sense.”
The comedian then claimed that Harris' take was "Bacon as a spice."
Harris' team had previously told the show's producers that her take would be about removing one's shoes on airplanes, but switched it once the interview started.
“Bacon is a spice,” Harris said in the unpublished video, which was obtained by the New York Times.
Rahma, who is Muslim and doesn't eat pork, responded, "I don't know," before Harris continued.
“Think about it, it’s pure flavor,” she added, explaining the use of bacon bits to enhance a meal similar to seasoning.
Rahma asked if he could use beef or turkey instead, pausing the interview to tell the then-Democratic presidential candidate that he doesn't eat bacon, before asking if they could do the pre-planned segment. Harris, however, decided to speak on her love of anchovies on pizza after speaking to an adviser.
“Well, I’m 100 percent unsure on both of those,” Rahma reportedly said as he quickly wrapped up the awkward interview.
