Beauty influencer Farah El Kadhi has reportedly died at the age of 36 after suffering a heart attack while traveling on a yacht in Malta, the Daily Mail reports.
El Kadhi, of Tunisia, was transported to Mater Dei Hospital after being found lifeless on June 17. The architect shared photos of herself on board a yacht docked in a marina hours prior to her death.
Local media outlets claimed El Kadhi had no signs of injuries and was on a one-week vacation in Malta at the time of her death. An autopsy is scheduled to confirm the exact cause of her death.
Fellow Tunisian influencer Soulayma Hneynia, who lives in Malta and appeared on the reality television series Love Island Malta, raised concerns when she was unable to contact El Kadhi, whom she described as being a "truly wonderful person, known for her kindness, generosity and warmth."
"Her positive spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her," Hneynia said via the Daily Mail.
El Kadhi was an architect with Key Concept and one of the most recognizable social media influencers from her home country of Tunisia, amassing 1.1 million followers on her Instagram account, which she used to promote her fashion brand Bazarbyfaf and other promotions. Fellow influencer Laurie Marquet said she was "in shock" over El Kadhi's death.
"I can't believe it. I'm in shock, we'll miss you babe," she wrote in a tribute to El Kadhi via the Daily Mail. "I will never forget you. RIP my darling."
