Senate Finance Committee Votes To Advance Tax Bill

The Senate Finance Committee is approving its version of a Republican tax reform bill, setting up a vote by the full Senate after Thanksgiving.  The 14-12 vote came down along party lines last night.  The bill faces an uncertain future because it includes a repeal of the Obamacare individual mandate.

Some Republicans have already voiced concern for repealing the key  Obamacare measure that forces individuals to buy healthcare coverage.   Meantime, the House Thursday passed its own tax overhaul plan.
