Watch Taylor Swift Congratulate Russell Westbrook On MVP Award In New Video

Taylor Swift came out of hiding for a brief video, where the pop titan congratulated Russell Westbrook on scoring the MVP win at the inaugural NBA Awards in New York City on Monday night (June 26).

In the 48-second clip, which was shared via the Oklahoma City Thunder's official Twitter account, Swift joked that the pair go way back. "I was the one who taught you how to play basketball," she told the camera. "I remember the first time you beat me at basketball and I was very upset and you said, if you remember correctly, you said, 'You just have to shake it off,' and I got an idea. So, essentially, we have each other to thank for these careers."

Swift lifted the veil for the joke at the end of the video, admitting that she wishes her story was actually the truth."You are amazing. You're the MVP. I’m so happy for you. I’m sending you the biggest hug ever," she said, adding, "Congratulations!"

Even though they don't go back two decades, you gotta appreciate Westbrook's love for the chart-topper whether he's in his car or at her concerts. See what we're talking about below!
