Russia says it will shoot down anything that flies over parts of Syria where it's operating.  The Russian foreign ministry issued a statement today saying it will view as targets "any flying objects" over those areas of Syria where its warplanes are in action.

The defense ministry also said it's suspending interaction with the U.S. to prevent air incidents between Russian and U.S. planes over Syria.  This comes a day after a U.S. warplane shot down a Syrian fighter jet that dropped bombs near forces backed by Washington.  The Syrian government says its plane was flying a mission against ISIS forces when it was shot down.
